Facts & Figures ahead of the 2007 Colonial Cup Final

The oldest player to appear in a Colonial Cup final is Waisale Serevi in 2005 at age 36 years, 11 months, 17 days. If Isaia Rasila plays on Saturday, he will beat the age record (he will be 37 years, 10 months, and 17 days old).

The youngest player to appear in a Colonial Cup final is Jone Qovu in 2006 at age of 20 years, 7 months, 12 days old. If Koki Vuicuvu plays on Saturday, he will beat the age record (he will be 19 years, 3 months, and 20 days old). If Jonetani Ralulu plays, he will also better Qovu's record (he will be 20 years, 5 months and 17 days)

If they get to play, six players would be making their third appearances in a Colonial Cup Final – Aporosa Vata of the Crusaders and Tiko Matawalu, Maikeli Nadridri, Jonetani Ratu, Seveci Taka and Apisai Turukawa of the Stallions. Vata played for the Stallions in the 2004 Colonial Cup final, and skippered the Crusaders in 2005. Matawalu, Nadridri, Ratu, Taka and Turukawa played for the Stallions in the 2004 and 2006 finals.

Jack Prasad now holds the record for most Colonial Cup tries with 10, going past Akapusi Qera’s previous record of 7. But Qera currently holds the record
for most tries in a season with 7.

Maikeli Nadridri is the only player to score a try in two Colonial Cup Finals (2004 and 2006).

The highest individual points record in a Colonial Cup final belongs to Maleli Naiqitu, who scored 24 points in the 2006 final.

The highest score recorded in a final is 35 by the Highlanders in 2005.

The lowest score recorded in a final is 15 by the Highlanders in 2006.

Jack Prasad is the only player to turn out for three different Colonial Cup teams (Stallions 2004, Sharks 2006 and Sharks 2005 and 2007).

The 5 points scored by the Stallions against the Crusaders on 2 March 2007 is the Stallions’ lowest-ever score.

The Bligh Roosters, who finished bottom of the table without a win, scored more tries (9) than first-place Crusaders (7).

The most tries scored by a team in a Colonial Cup final is 4 by the Stallions in 2004 and the Crusaders in 2005.

Referee Samuela Tuidraki is the only person to have appeared in all previous Colonial Cup finals. He refereed the 2004, 2005 and 2006 finals.

Julian Vulakoro holds the record for most penalty goals in a Final with 6 in 2005.
