The Fiji Rugby Union has signed a three-year agreement with the Tappoo Group of Companies to make Pepsi-Cola the Official Refreshment of Fiji Rugby. 25 May 2006

IRB announces Age Grade restructure
The IRB has announced a restructuring of its Age Grade tournament strategy. From 2008 an annual 16-team Junior World Championship and an eight-team Junior World Trophy will be run at U20 level, replacing the IRB’s existing U19 and U21 World Championships. 10 May 2007
Dubai to host 2009 Rugby World Cup 7s
The IRB Council has awarded the 2009 Rugby World Cup 7s to the Arabian Gulf Rugby Football Union. The tournament will be the first to incorporate a women’s competition. 9 May 2007

FRU declare healthy profits for 2006
The Fiji Rugby Union announced an operating surplus of $349,504 in 2006 to put the national body into a stronger financial position following on from a similar surplus in 2005. 1 May 2007
Fiji U19s thrash Japan for 11th place
Fiji finished their campaign at the IRB U19 World Championship in style by scoring 10 tries in a 60-12 rout of Japan to claim 11th place in Division A. Wing Henry Speight became the toast of the Fiji side with four tries in the match. 20 April 2007
