Upcoming looseman who sprinted the entire length of the field to score a try that helped Fiji defeat Japan 29-15 at Nagai Stadium in Osaka in 2006.
Qera is a scoring machine with a high work-rate that made him top try scorer in both the Colonial Cup and the Pacific Rugby Cup in 2006. He was later awarded the FMF player of the year at Fiji Rugby annual dinner.
Qera also featured well for the Fiji U21 side before debuting for the Flying Fijians against Samoa in 2005.
His reliable defence and speed from the back of the scrum earned him a spot in the Fiji 7s training squad for the 2006-07 IRB World series, but he could not attend because of his new contract.
