Nasoni Roko (Wing)

Full name:
Nasoni Rokobiau
Colonial Cup team: Highlanders
Fiji club: Waimanu, Naitasiri
Born: 29 November 1979 in Vunidawa
Height: 1m78 (5'10")
Weight: 88kg

Uncapped

Roko had an excellent season in 2002 on the wing for champions Naitasiri having played for one year in Malaysia.

Made his intenational debut at the Singapore 7s in April 2002. Attended national trials in October 2002 and was a little unfortunate to miss selection for the UK and Ireland tour.

Quiet off the field, Roko displays a different character on the field. He's a natural ball-player and possesses solid defensive qualities too.

He helped Fiji to the South Africa 7s title in December 2002 with two great tries against New Zealand in the final.

In 2004, he took up a contract with Hawke's Bay in New Zealand's NPC Division 2, and scored eight tries. On his return, he played for the Fiji 'A' team in their 16-13 win over the NZ Divisional XV.
