After a strong showing at the 7s trials in 2002, Simione Saravanua was a non-travelling reserve for the Fiji team to Dubai and South Africa.
The powerful runner came back strongly and made his international debut at the Brisbane and Wellington 7s the following year.
Saravanua played alongside Mesake Davu for the Tavarua team in the 2003 BP Oil 7s series before heading to play in New Zealand.
He retured in 2007 to be named in the Digicel Fiji 7s squad for the Wellington and San Diego IRB 7s tournaments.
